What Is Religion Essay Example for Free
What Is Religion Essay Religion is a hard concept to comprehend. It is showing us a different side to look at our life. Instead of having hard facts that can be physically proven, religion shows us to take a leap of faith and believe the impossible. In The Nature of Existence Charles Messer says: ââ¬Å"Religion is simply a system of actions meant to give you access to God and Heaven. (eternal Life)â⬠. In my faith I am taught that we are created by a higher being; God. That He is omnipotent and he loves all human beings, even if we do not believe in him and follow him. That he sent his only son, to die on the cross for all of us. Other religions may say the opposite: that there is more than one god and that Jesus was not the messiah. Edward and people with similar beliefs say, ââ¬Å"Religions are man-made world-views that help those in charge to control the masses. They are completely and utterly useless.â⬠, but the only problem with this statement is that man also created science. Man has a lust for power and because religious leaders have so much power over so many people, others assume that religion is being used to gain power . (Your Thesis is not clearly visible, you are thinking with emotion instead of stating clear facts with passion) In todayââ¬â¢s world there are too many religions to count. ââ¬Å"There are as many ââ¬Ëreligionsââ¬â¢ as there are believers since each person has a different understanding of what their religion is.â⬠: as Nancy M has put it. Nancy brings up a great point by saying this. People might think they have the same views on religion but no one really does. That is one of the points of this documentary: to show different views on what they believe in. Free will gives us the power to choose our own paths, whether it is in speech or in religion. The Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy says, ââ¬Å"Free will is to say that the agent has the capacity to choose his or her course of action.â⬠We have the choice to believe in God or not to believe in God. That is the beauty of free will, that our decisions are our own. The biggest confrontation in religion is: which religion is right? People who have a strong faith in what they believe in, and will say that their religion is the true religion. I am one who believes that my religion is the correct. But like Nancy says; I have created my own religion. I discovered my own belief system, by challenging other religions and figuring out what others have to say about their own beliefs. Brother Jed Smock is one who challenges our faith, by going to college campuses and spreading his beliefs onto others. What he talks about at the colleges, causes the students to question and challenge Brother Jedââ¬â¢s beliefs. While asking these questions, the students have to also look at their own beliefs and may question them as well. To truly grasp our religion we need to ask questions and find answers. One of the best ways to do this is to challenge others and to break down the answer they have provided. It strengthens us and takes our beliefs to a whole new level. Believing in something is a way of life. Everyone has some kind of belief system. We can believe that there is a God or believe that there is no God. This is the same as an opinion: we all have opinions on everything no matter what. If no one had an opinion then there would not be discussions or arguments.(Without this progress could not be made) Whether or not we belive in a religion or science or even both, there is a reason why we do. It is a way to explain things we cannot explain (it is a way to ease our minds from fear of the unknown and to explain away the unexplainable). For example, where we go after we die or if something miraculous (Or tragic) happens in our life. We cannot explain these events, and therefore we look for answers (in a higher power, whether that power is religion or science) because as humans we do not like Uncertainty. (many people of faith turn to determinism, when something unexplainable happens, whether that something, is good or bad. According to Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, ââ¬Å"Causal determinism is, roughly speaking, the idea that every event is necessitated by antecedent events and conditions together with the laws of nature.â⬠Simply saying that everything happens for a reason. It is a way to avoid the confrontation, of questioning a belief system by putting life solely in the hands of a higher power. It is mainly used as a way to explain away tragedy and an attempt to console us in a time of grief. When something unexplainable happens, people (do not ) like to question why, they would rather move on with their life and accept what they believe to be inevitable. In my opinion I believe that I will make my own future and it is always changing and nothing is set until it happens. Nothing can determine our future except ourselves.

Workforce Development and Management at Tesco
Workforce Development and Management at Tesco Working with and Leading Peopleà (A Case Study of Tesco) Tesco is grocery store UK has declined to its lowest level for almost a decade that British consumers have defected to the German discount chains Aldi and Lidl to save money. Latest information on Kantar World Panel shows the market shares of Tesco rose from 28.7% in the 12 weeks to March 2. This is compared with 29.6% for a year and turns back the clock at the end of 2004, while the merchant was on the rise. Big four supermarket chains in the grocery market is facing pressure on the value of sales at the end of the while polarizes a flight discount Waitrose started to clean. Task 1: Be Able to use recruitment, selection and retention procedures 1.1. According to Barratt and Mottershead (2000), the part of the selection in the context of whether the candidate is suitable for the culture of the company. Even if a person demonstrates the social profiles of likes, dislikes and nature, it would be wrong to add, on the basis of the decision in an interview with a mere assumptions were collected in the profile. However, the interview is a quite acceptable, the question that is personality of the interviewee to match. To ask about your personal and professional values, they are in their career path and how they manage the values of the company in uncomfortable situations before shoot responses to match the vision. 2.2: The recruitment of a new candidate, the importance of legal and ethical regulations, cannot be ignored and it is wrong to believe that the employee has appeared on their first date, when recruitment is completed. Most companies require that satisfy the people that such a probation is for both parties, that there the employees pass. Recruitment is expensive and is designed to attract and retain the best talent, as soon as possible. A Tesco worker in your business processes and enables the individual to achieve the full productivity (and profitability). In addition, the registration should start everything before the employees? The welcome pack contains which is the need of a signature can be sent by mail, and current staff to develop a new employee is their first day-log-in on your computer, for example. Beyond expectations, workers is good for admission to the program will help the company meet their. If the employees of the company, the first impression is positive, they are more li kely to remain happy in the job and has less tendency to seek other employment. (Brindley and Buckley, 2004). 1.3: Finally, maintaining the commitment of workers is to maximize the work is very important, and people feel like they are valuable to the company and to show them that their career development has an important role to play. If a person feels that there are opportunities for advancement, and their skills are considered to be not only they work hard to stay motivated, committed and productive. The three steps described here show that the recruiting never truly expires. In order to attract the best employees, companies must constantly raise the company profile. These all affect how you see and start to see training, coaching or mentoring role and how to be seen and are related to the person who is coaching or training and guidance. Your mission is to help the person to learn and improve, do not create another version of yourself. 1.4: Hire of unskilled labour and the qualified person, the company is very simple. Companies are participating, is the source of recruitment of candidates or to place ads in magazines and then waiting for the candidates to contact them. Recruitment is the most complex business processes. But the complex is not necessarily a difficult task. Properly managed recruitment, it is necessary to introduce in three stages, the first beginning before the company decided to make may be rented, and after that the employee has voltage. ; When employees are on board, they should be treated, so who will be encouraged to promote business contacts in their circle. Recruitment targets can be rented, but the choice of who to make a positive statement of the company for several years. Task 2:Understand the Styles and impact of leadership 2.1.: Theories of leadership in naturalist Tesco was the first to develop. An example of the exception was Boudicca, Queen of the Icene of ancient Britain. The default value is not belief or such amount would not have been able to learn to know, but was naturally part of their genetic heritage. It was probably hereditary (or so everyone believed)! It is one of the reasons for which a decision or aristocratic families. The scientific method has been applied in psychology, study of human behavior in a new naturalistic approach to leadership theories emerged a trait theory. Trait leadership theory assumes that leaders born, does not. But he sought to identify the personality traits associated with the best leaders, will help you to understand the leadership and identify people who take the same traits could (assumed) make good leaders. Trait theory still has its supporters. Some psychometric tools are used to recruit leaders built the idea naturally or built in functionality (Charantimath, 2 006). 2.2: Leadership functional theories are based on very different assumptions. They focus on the leaders Here it is a short leap of faith that if someone can do something like this, while others can learn how do we are now world leaders are made, not born.Free team-building policies and game ideas can help you to plan and use the games and exercises for training sessions, meetings, workshops, seminars and conferences, adults, youth and children, work, education, or clubs and social activities and Team building activities, games, exercises and also to improve the organization of the project and the results expected and the benefits. We cannot accept responsibility for any liability, which is due to these ideas, free team or the games see warning below. Always make sure that games instead of team set up, which takes place of insurance and be especially careful when working with games for children, children and young people. 2.3.: Theories situational leadership was developed to find the good ways to adapt to the needs of the management actions in a variety of situations and conditions. The classical model of leadership is the situational capacity (or skills) and will (commitment and motivation) will lead to and then specify that the governing body following the best style. Other approaches suggest lifestyle management continued. Leadership style in this refers to a broad approach. Director of leadership style is often based on the beliefs of the Director, personality, experience, work environment and the situation at the time. Some of the leaders in the style of management jobs. Others are more flexible and adapted to the needs of different situations in the management of these theories of leadership became a management style, the notion of style. However, they focus a lot on the leader and the followers of the balance of powers. (Armstrong, 2008). 2.4: Autocratic leaders tend to make decisions and put them in others. They often believe that they are best placed to make decisions for the other power. These leaders have certain personality traits, such as the need for control of situations. Autocratic leadership is suitable for certain situations, such as in emergency situations, or time critical circumstances. But they tend to feed other people or to get the best results from your supporters, who are capable and motivated and Leaders participatory to consult and involve them in the decision-making process. They can make the final decision, but they are showing respect for the account of other consulting services, as well as the ability to listen. Starting points, the default value is that he appreciates generally supporters who reciprocate by being loyal and committed and participatory leadership to develop others and build a common direction leading to a common vision and common goals. Participatory leaders accept leadership as often facilitation style. In other words, they empower and encourage others to make decisions, Act and to function normally within the defined limits. Task 3:Be able to work effectively in a team 3.1.: Important team Tesco work can be neglected for the team, building games, exercises and activities available on this site Web.Construire of games, exercises and activities to help build the team, motivation, develop, improve group communication and is fun for consortia, organizations, children and even a celebration of childrens development and team building games, exercises and heats of action in meetings, conferences, training and make it easier to improve. (Armstrong and Baron, 2002) Free team-building policies and game ideas can help you to plan and use the games and exercises for training sessions, meetings, workshops, seminars and conferences, adults, youth and children, work, education, or clubs and social activities and Team building activities, games, exercises and also to improve the organization of the project and the results expected and the benefits. We cannot accept responsibility for any liability, which is due to these ideas, free team or the games see warning below. Always make sure that games instead of team set up, which takes place of insurance and be especially careful when working with games for children, children and young people. To the extent possible, the development of a top up by providing mentoring and promotion coaching (drawing-mis), which is very effective with excellent, a part of the production. With an appropriate guidance and counselling is used in the formal structure of the training anyway, but support can also be a great help to the development of the whole person, especially if the mentor or coach is regarded as a role model, special efforts. It is important that the leader to understand yourself well before the coach or train or mentor others to: 3.2.: Working in the Tesco is dependent on the leader and good team workmakes things happen, more than any other organization. Teamwork is encouraged to respect, encourage, inspire and management. The teams come from big clubs, when they decide to do it yourself, not because someone says so. Something to inspire them, perhaps, but ultimately decided the team. It is a team thing. It must be. The team says: OK . We will not be able to tell the difference. We have the best in what we do. Find each other and prosper in the American team. And we make sure we have a lot of fun with the whole team starts to move mountains. People are motivated by the best, if you can get them to plan and decide on action-ask-them. Second, you can get the front in the Organization, if the purpose is to develop your own possibilities to find exactly what they are doing and learning. Games can be boring or condescending to many people they want action that will help them to learn and to develop in areas that inter est them without worrying about work stuff please ask. When you ask people in general, you have a number of proposals which can be put in place a set of experiences that people or participate in turn during the day or in the team (workinfo.com, 13) (James, 2008) and (Armstrong, 2000 )). 3.3.: The effectiveness of the work of the team is to reach the objective is very important, and those who have specific skills or interests is, in fact, that among the workers they enjoy sharing with others activity good team can be built with many hobbies and interests. If you are planning a full day of activities throughout the day, games, the construction of the spirit of the group is the waste throughout the day. Find ways to offer an attractive combination of action and help them achieve and learn more about and perhaps the accumulation of forests focuses on one or two real challenges or the workshop . Maybe a little of your leadership in the planning of the day workers (or according to applicable ) the level of proficiency for the benefit of their development and it (Deb, 2006). 3.4.: Team building exercises and offers a wonderful opportunity of consciousness raises and the participation of ethical organizations. These modern business ideas and concepts for the sustainable development of the trade fair social responsibility, triple bottom line, love, compassion, humanity and spirituality, etc. is yet to be defined or understood: people are not aware of what has all means for them one at the time and the Organization as a whole, even if most people instinctively interested in the principles. Group tasks and discussions to help bring clarity and idealistic concepts, such as the ethical and social responsibility more effective than the theory of reading or trying to come up with a new idea of business to embrace the airy fairy, person, place and issued orders. A fundamental change is coming, with support from the top, of course, but the success is, at the end of an account successfully, because people recognize and see the change, it is not. Task 4: Be able to assess the work and development needs of individuals 4.1.: The importance of planning and follow-up, Tesco cannot be ignored and there is no limit to the development of training this is something that will help the person with ability in skills, confidence, tolerance, commitment, initiative, interpersonal relationships, understanding of self-control, motivation to grow (if you look at the really powerful people, perhaps they executives technicians, operators, attributes, in any role, which is particularly important in the properties are likely to be more inclined to good students. And skills, as well as available to the public, in order to ensure that processes are much more helpful Attitude includes features that require a different training and learning methods. The attitude is due to his thoughts, beliefs, emotional maturity, self-confidence and experience. It is the largest formation and the challenges of development, and there are better ways to achieve change and development, which has brought the people to the class room, or produce more than normal business or education, which may see a chore. 4.2.: For this reason, the teaching and learning has expanded well beyond the traditional courses of follow up the course. Be creative, innovative and an open mind, and you will see, learning, itself, is almost a new group or organization. If you want to make a difference, think about what helps really people to change. Managers and leaders in the education and training of their peoples and to develop the people, it will improve performance, raises morale; training and development of people with more health and productivity of the Organization and the effectiveness of the company. Director of ethics and behavior of the people at the top, that determines how productive, they will use their knowledge and skills. Training is nothing without the motivation to implement effectively. Strong ability to plan and manage your knowledge and skills, motivation and attitude, the acquisition, largely determines the way in which working people. To ensure that important, skills, techniques and knowledge have been trained, but to remember him is after most efforts of education and the resources to focus on these tools and processes to stop the training. Go after the help people grow and develop people as human beings humans. 4.3.: The Foundation of all that are experienced by all employees take for granted: the changes are; At the announcement of the grid. What is the holiday routine, a disease where the canteen; what is the dress code; the work is. New employees are also the mission of the Organization, objectives and philosophy; personnel practices, health and safety at work and, of course, they need eliminate methods, annexed and expectations. Administrations shall ensure that due to plan regular induction training is to provide to each new employee and all parties concerned, so that they can see what is happening and everything which is associated to the. Prepare and give the plan of induction, which is required for each of the new starter. Conclusion We can easily deduct from above to know its role is not defined as a human being or an organization, and because the companys policy could be developed for each of the reasons, to take their work and ask for the role, in addition to the requirements of the public authorities and, in addition, separately. You have insufficient skills? Companies need help or advice in areas of importance is to educate, coach, mentor for others? What is a style? How can communicate. These all affect how you see and start to see training, coaching or mentoring role and how to be seen and are related to the person who is coaching or training and guidance. Your mission is to help the person to learn and improve, do not create another version of yourself. When you understand your self, you understand, how can you understand the best way to communicate and how best to help others to grow and learn and develop. Endangered Species Study: Jaguars :: essays research papers fc
Endangered Species Study: Jaguars I. The jaguars of Central and South America have been being killed for game and protection. This cat used to have homes around the United States to Uruguay, but ever since the fears of extinction the jaguars have moved to the undeveloped rain forests in Latin America. Jaguars are being killed due to many people fearing for their own lives and many are also being killed to protect cattle. Jaguars do stalk and ambush their prey, however, they rarely ever attack man. One of the main reasons that jaguars are still living is that they can adapt to many habitats, from tropical rain forests and swampy areas to scrub lands and grasslands. II. Jaguars are part of the life cycle of many species. Killing jaguars for protection and furs are ruining other species that live in the same range as them. These cats are of no harm to human life, most deaths that jaguars have had a part in were to protect themselves from being killed. Many jaguars just disappear from the pressures of being killed. While the animal is trying to change habitats they have died. The rain forests that the jaguars inhabit are being torn down to open up lumbering, farming, livestock raising, and other activities carried out by humans. Killing a jaguar is taking away a life that is doing no harm to the eco-system. A jaguars' way of living is much like that of a human, you don't see jaguars killing humans for their skin. III. Any endangered specie, including the jaguar, has many different alternatives in which the government or a national group would have to be involved. There are several organizations that help the breeding and life of many species. One way of breeding a specific species would be to freeze sperm and embryos so that scientists may breed more of the species when they are close to extinction. IV. I feel that the jaguar can be saved by forcing contractors to move their construction to a different place rather than a rain forest so that the jaguars

OConnors The Lame Shall Enter First :: Lame Shall Enter First Essays
O'Connor's The Lame Shall Enter First "The Lame Shall Enter First" concentrates on the relationship between Sheppard and, on the one hand, his son Norton, and on the other a boy in a reformatory, Johnson. Sheppard's wife is dead and Norton misses his mother. Sheppard can't understand Norton at all and chooses to spend all of his time helping Johnson, who tells him that Satan has him in his power (150). Sheppard of course does not believe in Satan and tries to rationalise the whole situation. He brings Johnson home and Johnson interferes with Norton's mother's belongings which, of course, greatly upsets Norton. Sheppard's reaction to this is that Norton really needs to learn how to share things. Johnson reacts very badly to this and plays Sheppard off against his son. When Sheppard leaves the room after he has told Johnson that he thinks he's good for Norton because Norton needs to share things, Johnson says: "'God kid . . . how do you stand it? . . He thinks he's Jesus Christ!'" (161). As the story proceeds Johnson tries to get Sheppard to see that evil exists and that Satan actually runs the world as he sees it (164). The outcome of the story, as might be expected from the rest of O'Connor's stories, is that Sheppard is unable to use reason to change Johnson. Despite Sheppard's attempts to help Johnson walk better (hence the title "The Lame Shall Enter First") by giving him a wooden leg, Johnson sticks by his notion that what is really wrong with him is evil: Sheppard said . . . "I am going to save you." Johnson thrust his head forward. "Save yourself," he hissed. "Nobody can save me but Jesus." (180) A little later Johnson says to Sheppard: "'The Devil has you in his power'" (185). He then disappears. At the end of the story Johnson is caught by the police in further wrong-doing and Norton commits suicide by hanging himself from the window through which he has been trying to find his mother amongst the stars with a telescope. Towards the end Sheppard realises that he has confused good works with Christian faith. Works won't save you but great faith will: Norton's face rose before him, empty, forlorn, his left eye listing almost imperceptibly toward the outer rim as if it could not bear a full view of grief.
Autonomy in Determinism :: Determinism Papers
Autonomy in Determinism (1) ABSTRACT: There are good reasons for determinism ââ¬â the option for pure freedom of will proves to be a non-tenable position. However, this collides with the everyday experience of autonomy. The following argument will attempt to show that determinism and autonomy are compatible. (1) A first consideration going back to MacKay makes clear that I myself cannot foresee in principle my own determination; hence fatalism has lost its grounds. (2) From the perspective of physical determination, I show that quantum-physical indetermination is not at all in a position to explain autonomy, while from the perspective of systems theory physical determination and autonomy is well-compatible. (3) The possibility of knowledge denotes a further increase of such autonomy. From this perspective, acting is something like designing-oneself or choice-of-oneself. (4) Consciousness of not being fixed in principle now becomes a determining condition of my acting, which appears to be determined by auton omy. This explains the ineradicable conviction that freedom of will is essential for human beings. (5) I conclude that the autonomy of acting is greater the more that rational self-determination takes the place of stupid arbitrariness. In 1980 a book by U. Pothast came out with the provocative title 'The Inadequacy of the Proofs for Freedom'. (2) Its merit consisted in the fact that it runs through and refutes all the known types of proofs for freedom in the philosophical tradition. Pothast's arguments, which thereby amount to determinism, are in my opinion basically sound, but surely also need a discriminating judgement, which is treated in the following discussion. The view mentioned is alarming in two respects: First of all, in accordance with the way we see ourselves we are convinced that freedom is essential for man's being. Secondly, philosophers think they have excellent arguments against determinism. The strongest objection to determinism is in my view the following: (3) Truth, i.e., accurate knowledge of the facts of a case is only possible for me when I can cognitively get involved with the subject. However, the precondition for this is that I am not determined by irrelevant constraints in connection with the subject ââ¬â e.g., by physical factors or by my own biological-genetic constitution, but also not by prejudices and preconcieved notions: precisely because I could not involve myself in the subject because of such constraints. Reduced to a formula, this means: truth presupposes freedom. As a philosophical theory, determinism itself lays claim to truth, which therewith presupposes freedom, in accordance with what I have just said. Business Environment in China
Every country has its own rules and regulations according to the needs, requirements and environment of the business in that country. So for any company, thinking to expand the span of business to another country and wants to invest for long term in that country, especially where production in that country involves, it is very important to understand the business environment, government policies, restrictions and future perspective of business in that country. The business has to assess whether the company has ability to incorporate most of the business needs and it should also be considered that whether the culture of the company can be integrated with the culture of that country. So the business operations will be different in different ways which have been discussed below: Import/export restrictions: There are certain types of goods and services which may be prohibited in the country where the business has plan to expand. For example, in Islamic countries like Dubai, Saudi Arabia etc, it is prohibited to expert or import alcoholic products except in some situations. Certain types of quality measurement might be imposed on the companies in order to import goods in the country. Another aspect of restrictions regarding export are the restrictions regarding the quantity which is being exported by the company. Governments can restrict the quantity of any specific product or service to be exported in order to avoid shortage in home country. China has imposed custom levy on the import as well as export of the goods. In addition to this levy, china has fixed a quote for imports of different types of products in the country. These restrictions on imports allow the home countries to produce more for the residents of China and less amount will be spend on imports and hence improve trade surplus for China which will help China to increase foreign reserves and hence make the economy of China more strong. Recently, China has imposed different types of restrictions on the export of 17 metallic elements which are important for different types of manufacturing good which also includes inputs for automobiles as well as wind turbine. It has made a big issue in the world. Other export restrictions include export duties which comprises of three types; regular, temporary and special, export quota for certain types of goods including mass consumption goods. Export license is required to be the exporter (Ambler, T. , Witzel, M. & Xi, C. , (2008). So if MNE has planned to come into the China for long-term investment, cost-benefit analysis should be carried out. However on the other hand, china support different types of exports and give reliefs for home productions which makes the business in china more attractive. Labor relations: It can be described as the relations between employers and employees, which are either unionized or non-unionized. Under the umbrella of labor relations, employees protect their labor right. Different countries have given authority to employees for their rights to different extents and as a result in some countries, labor has more power. So it should be considered while moving to another country that what are the conditions of labor relations in that country and hence how much the employees are powerful and how they can exert their power. It will help the companies to carry out stakeholder analysis as well as stakeholder mapping and hence can improve working conditions as well as can improve business operations. China has implemented labor relations law in 2008 (China Enacts Labor Relations Law, Effective in 2008, 2007). It has given more power to employees within the country. It has been made harder to lay off employees now. For the company like ACME or other MNE, it is very important to be noted that during last year, there was a strike by employees within factories in order to increase their wages. It was said by the employees at that time that companies are making huge profits and they are the people who are working behind the success of companies so their share must be increased and aligned with the profits of the company. So companies should understand the risk that low production costs, which are due to low wages, will no longer be attractive in future. Companies should make strategy to deal with the employees in a way which provides them job security, human rights protection, motivation along with the level of work required by the company. Chinaââ¬â¢s manufacturing market is very feasible for labor intensive industries at the moment. Good relations between employers and employees can be made by providing good working conditions whether they will feel satisfied with their work. Supplier financing: It is the finance management in the situation where the products are being exported. All the credit terms are included in the contract between importer and exporter and credit agencies play their role in the process and reasonably insure that the contract terms will be fulfilled by importer and exporter will be able to receive payments. At the same time it also ensures that importer will not be liable, to the agreed extent, to pay the risks which can be the political risk or economic risks. Companies while trying to operate in other countries must think how much it is sure that they will be able to meet the contract terms and if own company or other company will not honor the contract then what will be role of supplier financing in it how the laws and regulations of countries will support to force the either company to honor the contract. Tax rules: Tax rules and policies play an important role in order to make the strategy for the business. Countries might have tax treaties with each other as a result company can have the benefit from it. Tax rules applied to foreign firms are sometimes stricter than for their home firm. Such type of tax rules decides that how the finance will be arranged and how the income distribution will be managed in order to increase the business for the company. Policy for deferred tax and tax policy for the export of products from china should also be considered. Many countries have higher tax rates which may also impact on the financial statements of the business. Tax treaties play an important role in the implications of taxation policies. If home country and the country where company wants to invest have tax treaties then it would be beneficial for the company as it will not have to face double taxation. China has incentivized companies by in regards of taxation. Tax rules have to be followed but they are not very strict. There are many companies which are enjoys tax rates as low as 15%. Many other companies have also lower tax rates by increasing the exports from China (CCH Tax Editor, 2008). Overall, China is an attractive market in regards of the incentivized tax rules. And hence it is feasible to invest in China. Depreciation Schedule: Depreciation has its impact on the financial statements of the business especially when the companies have high value for their fixed assets. Some countries allow capital allowance on depreciation and hence which becomes the source of tax savings. Straight line method and reducing balance methods etc are permitted methods in IFRS and IAS. China has flexibility in choosing the method of depreciation. However whichever method company has chosen, it will not be able to change the method in future. Depreciation will become the source of tax savings so company can choose any method which will provide more tax savings to the business. However it should be noted that companies are required to assess the suitability of depreciation method before selecting it. At the same time, companies are also required to check if depreciation needs to be revalued. All the information, regarding revalued depreciation amount and if new asset has been purchased, should be submitted to tax authorities. Minimum depreciation period in China is 20 years for land and buildings and for other types of fixed assets; it is 10 years (Yan, X. & Pitt, D. , 2002). Companies have to think the time period for which the company is going to work in China. Currency properties and restrictions: It is the control over the inflow and outflow of cash by imposing different rules which are set in monetary policy of the country. It is also the control of fluctuations in currency rates within country using different ways like interest rates and money printing etc. These restrictions might impact on the business as they will not allow the company to export money from their country above some predefined level. It might affect the cashflow statement of parent company which is basically a foreign company. Currency properties restrictions might restrict the company to own properties in their country where the company is going to invest. Such types of consequences increases the risk of business as for a huge size factory, it might be required for the business to have its own premises as moving from one land to another land even within the same country is not an easy task (Riedel, J. , Jin, J. Gao, J. , 2007). Chinaââ¬â¢s policy to keep its currency undervalue is the point of concern for most the countries in the world. China keeps the currency undervalued in order to support exports. It helps exporters to export for more Yuan for the export of one dollar. On the other hand, it discourages imports in China. So companies have to consider this type of currency control and should make policy regarding the restrictions by china on currency. Sources of long-term and Short-term debt: Companies are required to arrange finance for the expansion of business and to run the activities of the business smoothly in the long run. This finance can either be arranged either by raising equity of the company or it can also be arranged by debt as sometimes equity financing sometimes consume more time and shareholdersââ¬â¢ WACC for the company is relatively high as compared to debt in most of the cases. Short term or long term debt includes loan from commercial banks or financial institutions and it will be measured that what is the interest rate for that short term finance and whether it is feasible for the company to arrange finance in foreign country or not. China is an attractive market because of easy sources of arranging debts. However china is going to make more strict changes in its short term debt policy. Treasury bills have been proved to be one of the most effective short-term debt tools in china. China has been proved to one of the most efficient market for long term debt especially in aisa. It is relatively easy to obtain long term debt at a competitive rate. Government of China is still working for more efficiency in long term debt market. Bonds are one of the most powerful long term debt tools for the companies working in China. Ethics: There must be integrity in the information provided to CEO. I will include the information about condition of human rights, labor welfare as well as all other information which belongs to the business. It is ethically necessary to provide the information because it will also help to protect the employees when company will start operating in China as company will already knew that what are the conditions are there and how these conditions can be improved (Norton, A. & Hughes J. , 2009). Although it might have a bad impact on CEO but for the purpose of integrity as well as honesty, I will include all the information. However I will also include the outline solutions to the problems.

Micro And Nano Electromechanical Systems Engineering Essay
IntroductionIt is the procedure by which electricity drives all highly little mechanical devices. It consists of both electrical and mechanical constituents. Components are in the scope of 1 to 100 microns in size and due to its big surface to volume ratio electrostatics and wetting forces dominate. MEMS are fabricated utilizing semiconducting material device fiction engineerings chiefly used to fabricate smaller devices. MEMS is categorized as actuators and detectors. Detectors are non invasive whereas actuators are invasive and modify the environment. MEMS produce big figure of devices, which have indistinguishable belongingss, by batch processing. In aerospace field dependability is more of import compared to batch processing, as the ballistic capsule has to work for longer clip without failure. Miniaturization of electronics is brought about by decreased cost and mass production. These factors along with decreased size, weight, cost, detectors and actuators are used in miniaturis ation of electronics. Micro technology engineering will profit aerospace systems due to decreased size, mass and power demands. Batch fiction of MEMS brought about the revolution of incorporate devices [ 1 ] [ 3 ] [ 5 ] . MEMS integrate the non-electronic detectors with signal conditioning and digital logic electronics on a individual bit. Hence the constituents can be altered based on their on the job status. Actuators are chiefly used to command flux. In aerospace applications MEMS are inserted into micro propulsion systems, strain detectors, inertial gesture detectors, magnetic field detectors, force per unit area detectors, flow rate detectors and so on [ 1 ] .Few Instruments USED FOR AEROSPACE APPLICATIONSMicromachined air-breathing propulsors and actuatorsMEMS engineering has been used in the industry of solid-state propulsion, called the man-made jet. It is based on the construct of pumping the fluid in oscillating gesture. Actuator has a little hole in a pit. Volume of this pit can be modulated in an oscillating manner. To drive this volume of the pit any mechanical device can be used such that it operates at its resonating frequence. The construction is operated at its resonating frequence so that the drive amplitudes, which are achieved, are moderate. Sucking and blowing the fluid instead through a little hole is how the actuator operates. It should be take attention that the pump shot has a directed jet whereas the suction shot will pull fluid from all waies. Finally we see that the unstable drawn from the sides has low impulse and the fluid expelled upwards has higher impulse [ 2 ] [ 4 ] . The disadvantage of this device is that it is non really efficient as a device on the whole as the entire impulse imparted to the jet is really little. Man-made jets, which are fabricated by MEMS, have the undermentioned advantages i ) uniformity if the device is high and the losingss due to mechanical inefficiencies are reduced due to high Q public presentation of MEMS two ) push of the system can be increased by building arrays of actuators [ 2 ] [ 4 ] .NMP ST5 THERMAL LOUVERSThis looks at the flight proof of advanced micro sat engineerings that have non yet been flown to infinite so that the hazard associated with the hereafter NASA missions can be reduced. MEMS shutters have been developed for smart thermic control [ 2 ] .JWST MICROSHUTTER ARRAYJames Webb Space Telescope has developed a MEMS based microshutter array. This was developed near the spectrometer instrument. It is composed of for faculties with dimensions of 175 by 384 pels. This device is advantageous as these microsh utter are extremely selectively configurable in order to do usage of the NASA ââ¬Ës sensor. It is made out of Si nitride membrane [ 2 ] [ 4 ] .INCHWORM MICROACTUATORSThis is developed for extremist preciseness placement of the mirror sections in the ballistic capsule. This was chiefly developed utilizing the MEMS/NEMS engineering [ 2 ] .NMP ST6 INERTIAL STELLAR CAMERAIt combines MEMS inertial detectors with active pel detectors in order to do it a multifunctional bundle. This s used to take high-resolution exposures in infinite. It has embedded MEMS gyroscope [ 2 ] .MICROTHRUSTERSThese enable micropropulsive tactics for formation winging and besides the pointing of nano, pico and micro orbiters exactly. Without MEMS engineering being used for propulsion these devices can non fulfill the limited system mass and power restraints. MEMS engineering is used it provides the advantage of high denseness, low power and volume, big push degrees, quotable push vectors and integrating is sim ple. For MEMS we make usage of a Si substrate for fabricating [ 2 ] .Fabrication OF MEMS TECHNOLOGYMEMS fiction is a portion of the fiction engineerings. Traditional machining procedure uses big sum of diverse stuffs, 3-dimensional devices can be fabricate in order to bring forth precise devices. When we use MEMS fiction the stuffs used are more limited but little dimension devices can be manufactured. The fiction methods can be grouped into three chief classs. They are: Lithography, Galvanoformung, Abformung ( LIGA ) Bulk micromachining Sacrificial surface micromachining The last two procedures are silicon based. Bulk micromachining utilizations wet or dry etching procedures besides in order to bring forth isotropic and anisotropic stuffs. They produce MEMS structures that can be used for inertial detectors, force per unit area detectors and noses [ 3 ] [ 5 ] . LIGA ââ¬â It helps to do complex constructions of metals, which are electroplatable, and holding high aspect ratios and thickness of several hundred micrometers. This procedure makes usage of ten beam lithography, thick resist beds and metals in order to organize complex constructions. The procedure starts by lodging a thin bed of sacrificial bed used for dividing the LIGA country from the country of the substrate after fiction. This has good adhesion and merely a think stuff will be sputter deposited. Titanium and Ni are the common stuff used for this procedure. X ray synchrotron is done following in order to bring forth walls over the thick resist to for a mask. Then we do electroplating of the base stuff after which shining is done. The sacrificial bed is removed in order to bring forth the LIGA portion. Magnetic propulsion is possible with this [ 3 ] [ 5 ] . BULK MICROMACHINING ââ¬â The different countries that have to considered during etching is: Dissembling Selectivity of etch due to crystallographic orientation Etch halt and stop point sensing Endpoint sensing is used in order to command the deepness of the etch and besides to minimise the harm to the movies lying beneath. Plasma etching is best suited for this procedure [ 3 ] [ 5 ] . SACRIFIAL SURFACE MICROMACHINING ââ¬â This method is holding its roots on deposition, modeling and etching of stuffs on a substrate. They will hold alternate beds of sacrificial and substrate stuff. Sacrificial bed is removed towards the terminal of the procedure, which consequences in a mechanical construction. An anneal is required in order to cut down the degrees of emphasis. The MEMS micromachines are much larger and thicker compared to the microelectronic devices [ 3 ] [ 5 ] . MEMS bundles for aerospace applications ââ¬â these bundles are used in order to minimise the size, cost, mass and complexness of the system. It helps to supply interface between the overall system and the constituents. These bundles must run into demands such as thermic cycling, humidness, high temperature operation, radiation and daze to call a few [ 3 ] [ 5 ] . MECHANICAL SUPPORT ââ¬â This is extremely mechanical in nature hence it has to be protected from high acceleration, mechanical daze, radiation and other physical amendss associated with it. This depends strictly on the applications like when a ballistic capsule lands on the planet ââ¬Ës surface it will see greater mechanical daze than any other ballistic capsule. Coefficient of thermic enlargement ( CTE ) of the MEMS bundle should be equal to or greater than CTE of Si on order for it to be dependable. The thermic parametric quantities can ensue in delamination or decease checking if there is any job with the Si or emphasis. After CTE job is take attention of the following thing to be considered is physical harm [ 3 ] [ 5 ] . Protection FROM ENVIRONMENT- MEMS packaging has to be protected from physical harm and besides when it is packaged during fiction and before it is sealed. Main attention has to be taken because of its reaction with wet as it causes the stuffs to swell, emphasis and delaminate. Hence, these bundles need to be hermetic with the sidewalls, base and palpebra in order for high dependability. They should be constructed from stuffs that can move as good barriers to liquid and gases and besides they should non pin down gases. Some MEMS french friess require vacuity conditions in order for it to run decently [ 3 ] [ 5 ] . They can hold big internal volume but still dependable. Package will hold integrated sidewalls and base with palpebras. Materials are mainly metals like CuW, which have good thermic conduction, and higher CTE compared to silicon. Trapped gases should be removed invariably as it reduces failures related to corrosion. Au-Sn solder is used when stuffs have to be bonded. Welding can besides be used alternatively of solder. The metallization procedure allows for wetting the conducting pin wholly to the ceramic. Incomplete wetting consequences in failure during proving [ 6 ] [ 7 ] . CERAMIC PACKAGES ââ¬â These have low mass, cost and can be produced in majority. These can be made hermetic and can execute different map. When we incorporate multiple beds of ceramics and interconnect lines, electrical public presentation of the bundle will run into the design demands. On each movie a metal bed is deposited utilizing thick movie processing and holes for interconnects are drilled. After these beds are fabricated the portion is fired at high temperature and MEMS and other constituents is attached to it. Many factors should be take attention of in this bundle that is the sum of holes, shriveling beds, treating temperature and ceramic belongingss. Frequently used metals are W and Mo. Normally used music directors are Ag, AgPd, Au and AuPt [ 6 ] [ 7 ] . THIN-FILM MULTILAYER PACKAGES ââ¬â Two engineerings are used. First uses polyamide sheets, which are laminated together. Second, polymeric amide is used in this instance besides but each bed is spun onto and baked on carried to organize beds. In this method we use etching. The polymeric amides have lower permittivity so it has low line electrical capacity, which consequences in faster circuits [ 6 ] [ 7 ] . Plastic PACKAGES ââ¬â These have lower fabrication cost. These are non extremely dependable and are non anchoritic in nature. These bundles are susceptible to checking in humid environment. Hence these bundles have non gained much importance [ 6 ] .EXAMPLE APPLICATIONS OF MEMS FOR SPACEMEMS devices used for infinite applications have reduced weight, cost, size and power ingestion. Common detectors and actuators used are accelerometers, gyroscopes, gaussmeters and spectrometers.VARIABLE EMITTANCE COATING INSTRUMENT FOR SPACE TECHNOLOGY 5The tegument on the orbiter where we need to maintain the MEMS based thermic control is called variable emittance surfacing instrument. This consist of 2 parts I ) MEMS shutter array radiator ( MSA ) and electronic control unit ( ECA ) . MSA located on bottom deck of ballistic capsule whereas ECA located within the ballistic capsule. Consists of arrays in the order of 150mm long and 6 millimeters broad shutters and are driven by electrostatic combs . Device exposed to the radiator and substrate should be thermally and electrically coupled to the radiator so that heat is allowed to reassign and electric charging is prevented. A polymer called CPI, which is both transmissive and electrically conductive, is used to extinguish the jeopardies due to environment. A 4mm movie midst is sandwiched and bonded. CPI movie is suspended above shutters and Acts of the Apostless as a barrier between MEMS and environment. Coating of InSnO2 is applied to for electrical conduction [ 7 ] .FLAT PLASMA SPECTROMETER FOR THE USAFA FALCONSAT-3MEMS fiction helped in doing usage of level plasma spectrometer ( FIaPS ) , which provides finer declarations and angular distributions. FIaPS was placed on the orbiter which will so mensurate the ion spectra derived function in energy. This instrument includes a PCB, power supply, detector caput array and human body. Sensor caput is fabricated and assembled, it consists of an array of indistinguishable spectrome ter faculties and an anode home base for sensing. This consists of three beds of Si and two beds of Be Cu. Five beds are stacked instead. CuBe home bases were used for preciseness to accomplish array of channels. Each Si had 5 dies. Wafer was diced such that each of the five dies are bonded separately to the CuBe home bases. The remainder of the points were assembled and packaged into ballistic capsule interface lodging unit utilizing many prison guards. Bonded constituents of detector caput used iridite plated aluminum rods for maintain the MCP [ 7 ] .MICROMIRROR ARRAYS FOR THE JAMES WEBB SPACE TELESCOPE ( JWST )JWST is equipped with mutiobject spectrometer, MEMS mirror arrays which acts as a slit mask for the spectrometer and selectively direct visible radiation from different parts in the infinite to the spectrometer. CMOS driver bit was designed. Large french friess are bonded onto Si substrate to extinguish emphasiss due to mismatched coefficients between the bit and substrate. CMOS assembly was put inside the bundle utilizing peripheral force per unit area contacts [ 7 ] .MICROJET JET ENGINESThis is a micromachined actuator used for propulsion and energy transitions. This device is being developed presently consists of a compressor, burning chamber and turbine. It uses H as its fuel. High aspect ratio of this device is obtained utilizing reactive ion etching ( RIE ) which is an advanced method of MEMS engineering [ 7 ] .Detectors and Actuators in Aerospace ApplicationsDetectors are used in assortment of aerospace applications like set downing cogwheel, ice protection. Measuring of fuel and pilotage. Modern airplanes have automated cockpits and a batch for information about the aircrafts tallness, velocity, temperature and cabin force per unit area is given by the array of detectors in it. These vehicles besides have automatic pilotage due to inertial counsel systems and conditions updates are given continuously. These detectors are utile in meteoric face ts to cognize more about the conditions [ 7 ] . The usage of MEMS in aerospace systems is extremely application particular and reduced the size, power ingestion and weight at the constituent degree. The cost and advantage and electronic integrating capacities of MEMS will assist in leting distributed measuring and propulsion. This helps in cut downing size, wet content and it becomes more vulnerable and dependable [ 7 ] .DecisionHere we have seen a big figure of packaging applications that ââ¬Ës have been used by MEMS devices in infinite applications. In the semiconducting material industry, these bundles are the lone devices that can protect devices from radiation and this holds for packaging of MEMS device. These actuators and detectors need to be exposed to the environment to execute their original maps ; besides due to the individualism of MEMS devices, there is no general bundle solution, every device requires its ain bundle attack of MEMS. The bundle needs to protect the device from all the environmental conditions. Humid and wet content has to be taken attention of decently for MEMS bundles to be dependable. There been many chances to turn out how utile these bundles are in the flight and infinite applications. In order to larn more about MEMS applications many more flight chances should be made [ 6 ] .
